Toddler Time

Toddler Time

Toddler Time affords parents and caregivers of young children an opportunity to engage their children in a rich literacy experience. It is important for children to be introduced to reading and learning at an early age. Children who are read to as toddlers grow into better readers, thinkers, and test takers. Toddler Time is designed to introduce young learners to books.

The Orange Grove Primary Library will host Toddler Time on various dates throughout the  2018-2019 school year. Toddlers ages 2-4 years old are eligible to attend. Pre-K students are not eligible to attend Toddler Time as they have regularly scheduled library visits with their classes. *Toddler Time is not a drop-off program. All toddlers must be accompanied and attended by a responsible adult caregiver.

"If you read just 1 book a night, you will have read about 365 books in a year. That is 730 books in two years and 1,095 books in three years. If you consider that most children start kindergarten at around 5 years of age, you have more time than you think (so get started)."
